The Chief of Szinda, Zimbabwe gave Sima some land so that she could grow some food for the Rose of Charity Child Protection Organization to feed the children. Sima and the farm supervisor George, drilled a well and put in irrigation to help grow the crops that they put in the field. The pump and irrigation system are run on solar power to aid in the growing process. About 10 different crops have been planted at the farm and the children help with planting and harvesting the crops.

Robert Schiffner has enlisted Phil Hintz of Trout Lake Farms, Ephrata, Washington to help improve the soil and farming methods done on the farm. Phil is hoping that the farm can not only feed the children, but could also become a revenue stream for the Rose of Charity in the future. His extensive knowledge of farming techniques and recommendations will ensure a successful farm business in the future.
